The element that holds a whole table, from to .

The table's title. It must be the first thing inside ; browsers draw it centred above the grid.

Table row: holds the cells of one row, from left to right.

Table header: a header cell that labels other cells. Drawn bold and centred by default.

Table data: an ordinary data cell holding one value.

The part of an HTML document that holds metadata. Nothing in it is drawn in the page area; the visible content goes in .

An element that wraps an img and one or more source elements, to swap in a different picture (art direction) or format.

A selector that matches the top element of the document. In an HTML page that is the html element.

A pseudo-class that matches the document's root element, the element in a web page.

Null-conditional access (stops and gives null if the left side is null), null-coalescing (use the right side if the left is null), and null-coalescing assignment (assign only if null).

The parent folder, one level up. A single . means this folder.

A file listing names and patterns that Git should not track, such as .env or __pycache__/.

The free, open-source platform C# runs on, for Windows, macOS and Linux. It includes the dotnet tool, the CLR and a large library.

A hidden part of every function: a link to the scope the function was created in. A call of the function uses it as the new scope's outer link.

Placed before a pointer, as in *p, it follows the address to the object there, to read it or write it.

A parameter with two stars. It collects every extra keyword argument into a dict of name: value pairs.

A parameter with one star. It collects every extra positional argument into a tuple.

Parameters that collect any positional and keyword arguments, so a wrapper can pass them all on to the original function.

Inside a member function, the object the function was called on. Returning *this by reference gives that object back.
